I tried Linkbucks (I won't compliment them with a link) on this blog for a few weeks. It basically rewrote all my external links to go through an interstitial advertising page. My sincere apologies go out to anyone who was annoyed by that. It was an experiment.
My assessment: it's just totally, utterly not worth it. They pay microfractions of pennies per impression, and their javascript replaces the anchor text (not just the href) of my outbound links. Interstitial ads on outbound links was a bad idea anyways. I'm not trying to get piles of cash from this blog, though I do get a mini-thrill when I see a few cents show up in my AdSense account.
Linkbucks is gone now. Enjoy the site.
