A glimpse of Multi-touch Surface Computing

Just go watch the video, then come back and read the rest of my ravings. http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=933742930 Of course the people in the video are a little too stupidly ambitious - envisioning these on "every surface"? give me a break. But it would be pretty cool to have one of these around as a central media station. Actually I think the possibilities for video games and recreational use is more compelling than for desktop computing. The same "view from beneath" table-top technology would also lend itself very nicely to document scanning, fingerprint authentication, etc. What I liked best is the real tactile "throwing" media from one device to another. That was Cool with a big C. I'm curious whether the touch is sensitive enough to be of use in creating digital art with brush or pen?
