Translating iWant
First, install facebook’s built-in Translations tool.
http://www.new.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=4329892722
You can also find Translations by typing “translations” into the facebook search box.
Now you’ll see a globe icon appear in your bottom toolbar.

click it, and you get a menu.

Choose a language other than English.
Your page will reload in your chosen language.
Click the Translations menu (the globe) again, then click “turn on inline translating”

Now go to the iWant application. Install it if you haven’t already!
http://apps.new.facebook.com/iwantlist/
You can also find iWant by typing “iwant” into the facebook search box

You’ll see some English phrases underlined in red. Those are phrases for which a translation is needed in your chosen language.
RIGHT-CLICK on any of those phrases to pop up a translation tool

Enter the translation for that phrase, and submit it by pressing the Translate button (or press Close to cancel)
That’s all you have to do!
Translated phrases in iWant will appear to users who are browsing facebook with that language selected.
Other translators of the same language may offer alternative translations for the same phrase. Conflicting translations are settled by votes among translations; for instance if 3 translators say “chercher” and 7 say “trouver”, the word “trouver” will be the one shown in the interface.
Try out iWant and all its features - add some items, create categories, share your Wish List with your friends, and invite others to create their own lists!
With your help, iWant will become more accessible for nonanglophonic users. Thank you!
