Crayola lies to kids

Crayola has been making these commercials featuring 3D sidewalk chalk, glowing brushes... kids (like mine) watch them and think that they can actually draw in the air and that their brush strokes will actually glow like neon in the dark. Yes, the Crayola marketers achieve their objective - they inspire kids to REALLY REALLY want those products. Who wouldn't want sidewalk chalk that lets you draw in 3D?

They show kids carefully stepping over and around chalk drawings that hover in mid-air.

But the reality is, that 3D chalk is a shitty product that helps you draw parallel colored lines. You get the 3D effect only if you draw your lines absolutely perfectly, and if you are looking at it with the glasses from just the right angle. (yawn!)

Crayola, lay off the CG in commercials. it's misleading.
